Perhaps good awareness about kidney failure in E.R. , but maybe a bit too somber and I think Carter would gotten a smile if he were at home doing it.

This was not too somber at all. The scene is exactly the way I felt my first day on dialysis.
I agree too, depressed, dark,and somber. I think everyone’s first dialysis experience is not a fun one.
